Bold, intuitive layered abstract work arising from an exploration of acrylic paint on mainly canvas, inspired by the natural world.
A lifelong creator of art in many forms, most recently exploring bold, sometimes riotous abstractions in acrylic which are usually inspired by a response to nature, especially the shifting forces of sea and sky. Working intuitively, she builds layered surfaces using large tools that attempt to capture movement, colour, and energy, transforming these impressions into vibrant, gestural works. Through her practice, she seeks to share the vitality and presence of nature in its most dynamic forms.
