Jill uses fine white porcelain to produce tall standing forms, vases and shallow bowls thrown on the wheel. She is inspired by mountain walks and a sense of altitude felt whilst climbing rocky mountain paths to reach pinnacles and summits.
Decoration focusses on texture - sweeps of thick porcelain slip, additions of thin slivers of clay and carved areas sculpted into the surfaces, finished with white satin, crawling glazes and glossy highlights. Each pot is unique, waterproof and hand washable.
