I have recently become interested in people in the landscape, and that has become a project - Living the Landscape.
I have an ongoing exhibition at the Oaken Grove Community Centre in Haxby around this theme.

My first love is portraiture, having trained as a portraitist under the tutorage of Leonard Boden RP. but I find the freedom of contemporary painting a perfect foil for the more disciplined genre of portraiture.
As a result I am an experimental painter, and this makes for a very varied and eclectic collection in both medium and subject.

My work is eclectic and I try to show my versatility. I exhibit in galleries and open studios; run classes and do workshops and demonstrations.

I work in any medium any style, any subject aiming to capture mood, texture, light and to have fun.

I also have three images in the same project in an exhibition at the Patchings Art Centre in April/May of this year.
I sell prints, mounted or framed. I also mount images onto acrylic sheets which give a modern floating contemporary feel.
I also do a range of cards, and incorporate natural crystals into some of them.

As  an award winning artist I work predominantly in soft pastels specialising in commission work for portraits and animal portraits.

I regularly exhibit in the Mall Galleries and the Kennel Club in London and as a member of The Society of Women Artists won  two awards in 2011, The Frank Herring & Son Easel Award and Jacksons People’s’ Choice Award at the Society’s Celebratory 150th SWA Exhibition held in the Mall Galleries London.  Then following in 2014 with the Windsor & Newton Fine Art Award for a portrait.
I am also a founder member of ERA, East Riding Artists.

I am confident that there will be something in my collection to appeal to everyone.

I mostly produce portraits and pet portraits in pastel of which I pay particular attention to detail.  I also enjoy painting  wildlife.

Pastel is a wonderful and versatile medium . I enjoy teaching pastels very much and hold one and two day workshops in pastel in Bishop Wilton as well as weekly classes for all abilities.

 Commissions accepted .
